James Nikas III
Jim founded GeoVerde in 1991. He has held various high level management
and consulting positions to both private and public companies.
Jim's strength is in helping to champion new business growth or
turnarounds utilizing his unique business experience, vision and
financial market network. Jim's twenty-two years of business experience
encompasses eleven years in venture start-ups, six years in consumer
manufacturing/marketing and five years in petroleum exploration.
He has helped raise capital for a wide variety of public and private
financings (ranging from $200,000 to $7 million).
Jim is no stranger to successful start-ups and growth. In the
late 1980's, he created a line of natural history mobiles that
generated millions of dollars in sales through the Smithsonian
Institute, The Nature Company (now Discovery Channel Stores) and
the World Wildlife Fund, to name a few. Utilizing recycled materials,
employing hundreds of physically and mentally challenged assemblers
and carrying a strong environment message, the mobiles have appeared
in dozens of feature films including blockbusters Ghostbusters
II and Mermaids. The mobiles are still selling today more than
fifteen years since introduction.
Jim's talents are in the following areas:
· Start-ups and Turnarounds
· Business plans
